Westmeath, a retirement residence on Pitt’s Bay Road for elderly ladies, and from time to time gentlemen, is another responsibility of the clergy of St. John’s. Holy Communion is celebrated there on the last Friday of each month. The silver paten and chalice used were the gift of the Misses Emily Eliza and Ellisif Agassez Trimingham. These gifts were dedicated at Westmeath on July 4, 1955, followed by a Communion service.
